With only a few thousand cases produced annually, Liano is a high-quality wine named after Umberto Cesari’s Liano vineyard in Colli Bolognesi, 10 miles south of Bologna. Liano-a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet- is cold fermented in stainless steel, aged in French oak, and cold-bottled under a nitrogen blanket. Boasting a persistent bouquet of ripe fruit, interlaced with vanilla and spices, this dry red has a complex but silky texture with a long, lingering finish.
