Argyros Atlantis Red

‘The recipe is that there is no recipe’. This is the guiding principle behind the wines of Estate Argyros, an artisan producer crafting tinyquantities of top quality Greek wines. Each plot is harvested, vinified and aged separately until very late in the production process, in order to properly express its terroir. Many wines are kept in the cellar for years. (example: this 2019 is current vintage).

Santorini is so well known for white wine (Assyrtiko) that many probably don’t know red wine is also grown there. It is! Atlantis Red is a blend of Mandilaria and Mavrotagano, the island’s 2 most important red grapes. Intense flavors of blackberry jam and licorice, with the hint of roasted nuts typical of Mavrotagano. Complex. Layered. Delicious.
