The Huntsman is from the Ross Andrew winery in Washington’s Columbia Valley. (the owner/winemaker loves to hunt.) This small winery (current production is around 2500 cases of red and 1400 of white) is the project of Alexandra and Ross Andrew Mickel, formerly the winemaker at Betz Family Winery. Sourced from some of eastern Washington’s finest vineyards, this is a terrific little Cabernet with notes of vanilla, plum, and black raspberry. Nicely balanced AND it does not break the bank.
