Stop asking that your wine be 'clean', and start demanding it be delicious.

Together
The pandemic has been rough on everyone, in a multitude of ways. Obviously sickness, death, and the fear of sickness and death are paramount. But putting those darkest thoughts aside for a moment, and also shortages of toilet paper, Lysol wipes and-weirdly-bike racks, the thing I miss most is people. I miss seeing all my favorite people.
We imagined Pour Richard’s as a community-not just a place to buy delicious beverages, but a place to get together with old friends, meet new friends, try new things, learn a little about your choices, and THEN maybe buy some delicious beverages. We’re still supplying the delicious, but seriously miss all that other stuff.
Normally, this time of year would be wall-to-wall tastings and events, with all our favorite people squeezed in together. We’re not doing that-it wouldn’t be responsible or safe. But we did try out a new socially-distanced tasting format a few weeks ago, and it worked! So we’re adding a few more events to the calendar: some remote, some in-person outdoor tastings.
First up: Tony’s back, with a new knee and a new company, but a familiar selection of amazing Portuguese bargains. Alentejo, Lisboa, Vinho Verde, Tawny Port…Tony’s got you covered! Event is next Saturday, October 24, from 1-4 PM. More info and tickets are available on our SHOP page: https://pourrichardswine.com/product-category/specials/tonys-back-tasting/.
Then, we have Records & Rum, a remote event with Privateer’s Maggie Campbell. Join us to get a little overview of Privateer’s ‘True American Rum’, insights into how we selected the Calypso’s Garden rum, our latest private barrel pick, and a cocktail or two, all paired with the Pour Richard’s vinyl collection! To join this event and/or purchase a tasting kit, just email: info@pourrichardswine.com .
We have Sheri Carl returning for another outdoor tasting on November 7, plus another couple of remote events still in the planning stages. We hope to see you, whether in-person or on our computer screens. Because the best part of us is you.
